Acts 13

READ: Acts 13

KEY VERSE: Acts 13:25 As John was completing his work, he said: ‘Who do you think I am? I am not that one. No, but he is coming after me, whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.’

My Reflection: This verse ties into the Bible Study I’m doing right now with some of the ladies at Cinema Church. I chose this verse because it’s really cool how John the Baptist made it very clear to everyone that he is NOT the Son of God! He didn’t just stop there, he also explained that he wasn’t worthy to even untie Jesus’ shoes, let alone walk a day in them! I like that so much! After studying it in much detail, I have to ask myself…(and if you’re doing the study, you asked yourself this too)…who am I? and, who am I not?

My Prayer: God, I ask that I would never put myself or allow anyone else to put me on a pedestal! May I ALWAYS give you the glory and live life to the utmost for You! Forgive me, where I haven’t been clear in life on who I am, and who I am not! Help me to see that I am Your perfect masterpiece, but at the same time I am nothing greater than human, and nothing less than Your child! Thank you for your love and patience with me, Amen.
